Love is Patient

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.

On July 9, 2016, I married my best friend. We were blessed to have so many friends from near and far with us to celebrate the best day of our lives! This journey hasn't been an easy one for sure, but I couldn't be happier to tackle the road ahead with the one who pushes and inspires me to be a better version of me each and every day.

With my husband in the navy, you can imagine we've done long distance. We met our Junior year of college and after we graduated, we both found ourselves in the gulf coast. Him in Florida and myself in Texas. Well, three years of 4+ hour drives to see each other was tough. Jon proposed to me on the day he received his Aviator wings for the Navy. We had a little over 1 year to plan, and in that year, we each moved again in the gulf coast, Jon went on deployment, and then Jon moved to Hawaii. Planning a wedding in New England from Hawaii and Louisiana, and through deployment was crazy! But all of it is worth it, because now we have each other forever, whether near or far!

Jon couldn't see me before the ceremony, so we read our vows to each other privately before the ceremony. It was a wonderful moment to share alone together. We talked each other through the jitters and straight to the I CAN'T WAIT for this wonderful journey with you!

I promise to laugh with you in joy, to grieve with you in sorrow, to grow with you in love, serving mankind in peace and hope, as long as we both shall live

The first kiss as husband and wife!

And in true navy fashion, the sword arch sent us off in style!

Fit Tips

#1

Talk about your goals! This gives you a network of support and someone to celebrate with when you get there!

#2

Be persistent! Miss a workout, or indulge in a treat? Don't let that get you down! Get right back on track, we all get off track sometimes!

#3

Push yourself! Set achievable goals, and review them every day. Meet your goal to work out 2 days/wk for 1 month? Up that to 3 next month!
